The Stein Collection

A week or two ago my mom and I decided to to take a drive over to San Francisco to see the featured exhibit at the SFMOMA, the Stein Collection. It was well worth the trip. The art and the exhibit in whole was just amazing. The Steins were amazing people and just walking through the collection made you want to transport yourself to Paris in the early nineteen hundreds. It was quite magical.
The Steins were notorious for investing in upcoming 'modern' artists such as Matisse and Picasso. Did you know that a lot of Picasso's art was done cardboard? It blew me away that cardboard could be so beautiful. Im so glad I got the chance to see the exhibit it was truly astounding!

2.Pablo Picasso Soup 1902
3.Henri Matisse The Girl with Green Eyes 1908

  1. I want to go to this exhibit too. Especially after seeing your postcards. I like how you added the numbers.
