A couple of sundays ago my mom and I went down to Santa Cruz to have breakfast and walk on the beach. It was really fun, and great weather. The beach we were on is right next to the harbor so we got to see the lighthouse at work in the fog. It was the ideal sunday morning.

Farmers Market
Im really fortunate that my family and I live near a really amazing farmers market full of cool music, organic fruits and veggies, plants, food, and art. These pictures only give you a little glimpse into whats going on. You don't see the art, taste the baked goods, smell the fresh breads, hear the music, and feel the warmth of the people bustling about around you; it one of my favorite places to go. ( I also love eating all the fruit samples! )
Cupcake Explosion!
Theres been a lot of cupcakes around my house lately. We've had owl cupcakes ( which i failed to photograph, sorry), cupcake shaped cakes, and little tiny cupcakes. My sister L requested the cupcake shaped cake for her birthday along with copious amounts of rainbow sprinkles. And the tiny little guys are for my soccer team, I had a babysitting job at my house and I decided to make little cupcakes with her for my team.
One Year!

My Type of Collectables
Something you should know about me, I am almost always wearing a pair of Converse. And not till about a week ago did it occur to me to "officially" start collecting my beloved shoes. Because really they had just been sitting in my closet gathering dust, so I decided to date all of them with the year I "retired" them and put them away. Unfortunately some of my shoes are currently being employed by my younger sister and I could not take them for my collection yet. And any other pairs I had have been long gone, usually taken from me by my mother saying they are much too disgusting to wear in public. (Even worse I'm still age that my mom can do that)
The Woman Who Bled Rainbows
I got to inspiration for this watercolor from a different artist's work. I loved how the colors seem to fade from her, I like to think of the colors as emotions happy pinks, melancholy blues, angry grays, and pleasant greens. It was fun to do, I got to use a lot of my bright watercolor pencils, which was exciting!
Wind in Their Hair
Ok so I'm also little obsessed with drawing people from the back at the moment. Its also fun drawing them when its windy so I can make their hair flow out in the wind. I like drawing people from the back because it creates almost a sense of mystery to what their looking out at. That part is up to you :)
Portraits
I have a little, maybe big thing for drawing peoples faces. I love it so much! I like how faces can tell you so much about who someone is or what their emotions are. The faces above aren't the greatest but I still decided to post them. The top is supposed to be Emma Watson with her super cute new haircut but it didn't work out that well. And below her is Ron Weasley. Getting a sense for of my Harry Potter obsession? Yep, I'm just a little obsessed.
The Stein Collection
A week or two ago my mom and I decided to to take a drive over to San Francisco to see the featured exhibit at the SFMOMA, the Stein Collection. It was well worth the trip. The art and the exhibit in whole was just amazing. The Steins were amazing people and just walking through the collection made you want to transport yourself to Paris in the early nineteen hundreds. It was quite magical.
The Steins were notorious for investing in upcoming 'modern' artists such as Matisse and Picasso. Did you know that a lot of Picasso's art was done cardboard? It blew me away that cardboard could be so beautiful. Im so glad I got the chance to see the exhibit it was truly astounding!

Mr. Octopus
I recently aquired a new little cousin. He is a little boy and his name is John or "Johnny". I am glad to say I am about to go meet him, so I decided to make him this adorable yarn octopus that I found in a family craft magazine. I love these little eight legged friends so much, I am thinking of making myself one!

Little Green Men
The leperchans have come out to play. I am rather fond of them. I found a four leaf clover just the other day.
Anyway, happy early Saint Patricks Day!
My Magical Friends
I LOVE Harry Potter books. They are my favorite books, and am guilty of reading the series almost eight times. I love all the characters and their personalities. Some of my favorites in include Ginny Weasly, Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood, Neville Longbottom..... and so on ( I love them all).
Happy reading!

A gaggle of girls, A flock of females, A land of ladies
Hello, I have been quite busy lately, between high school applications, soccer, and my leadership class there has been no time for blogging. But things are starting to slow down so I got this doodle of girls up here. Happy February!

A Beach Trip
To celebrate the new year we decided to head over to the beach for part of the day. It was marvelous. We explored tide pools, and watched our dog run laps up and down the beach. We collected some nice shells and rocks too. My dog's name is Miles. He is a one year old half Australian cattle dog, half black lab, who has a lot of energy and personality. He LOVES the beach, he ran and swam for a good hour before he decided he was tired, it was great to watch.
Miles went to meet the local surfers too.
